COMMUNITY OFRENDA

Please join us by participating in the All Souls Day Community Ofrenda, a traditional display filled with photographs of family, friends and even beloved pets who have passed. The beautiful tradition of honoring the faithful departed will be the focal point of our event. More than ever, we know that it is our community that so beautifully shapes the world our children grow up in.

All Gala Attendees are invited to submit a photograph (digital only please) to be framed and placed on the Ofrenda* (limited quantities available, please submit early to ensure your photograph is framed) OR bring a photograph of your own the evening of the event to hang on the Ofrenda display.

Add-On Items are available in limited quantity which include:

• Papel Picado Family Name Sign: Papel picado literally means 'punched' or 'perforated' paper. This traditional cut paper folk art is found throughout Mexico and the former colonies of Spain as well as in the folk traditions of many other countries.

• Home “All Souls Day/Ofrenda” Kit Ofrenda: translated from Spanish means, “offering” in this case offering our prayers and honoring the dead by remembering them and including them in our prayers. Our kit includes a table runner, felt papel picado banner, marigold garland, decorative elements, an instruction card, prayer card and a Memorial Prayer Candle.

• Memorial Prayer Candle: a traditional, full size prayer candle encased in glass. Includes our beautiful Recuérdame, Remember Me, Logo.
